Had 1st class service from Pattingtons. My friend had undergone major surgery and Pattingtons had difficulty contacting her by phone. However they persevered which was greatly appreciated as she was unable to access her phone until much later in the day. The most beautiful vase if flowers were delivered and felt it was a personal 1st class service.

The flowers were very nice although the bouquet was smaller than a recent bouquet that I sent, for which I paid slightly less. I almost gave three stars, and this is to do with the platform more than the florist per se. When I booked it seemed clear that a booking on Thursday would get a Friday delivery, and I thought if all doesn't go well at least it'll be a Saturday delivery. However, I was informed by email (so good follow up from Direct2Florist) that locally they were having problems finding a florist to fill the order, and that they had been told florists are closed on Saturdays (not so, simple google search and knowing that I've had plenty of Saturday deliveries), so i didn't appreciate that. In the end I accepted a Monday delivery (I was called to get my agreement, and appreciated the good customer service in that respect)but I'm not sure I'm going to use direct2florist again as this is the second time I've had a similar time delivery problem. It'd just be better if the website is upfront and says 2 working days needed to fulfil deliveries.

I can't say enough about my order I placed from the UK to SA today. The prompt service was impeccable and the flowers I ordered were absolutely beyond my expectation and delivered within 3 hours. The vase of flowers and arrangement thereof was simply stunning! Little sparkling details and butterflies, beautiful vase. All absolutely beautiful for an 89 year old who was equally thrilled. Panningtons was absolutely brilliant. I requested a yellow rose bouquet for my sister's birthday and just 24 hours later, Pat got in touch to let me know that the yellow roses weren't very good quality and would i prefer some thing else. The floral arrangement was rather amateurish and lacked symmetry ( from what I could see the flowers were stuck into the oasis randomly) The first image I saw was a mass of bright yellow flowers on one side of the bouquet. I did not request a yellow bouquet. The other side had some random pastel shades of green and white. The positive I believe was that the container basket was pretty. Very disappointed as this has been my fourth purchase through Direct2Florist South Africa

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my moms office on her birthday. Apparently you were running late. The delivery was made the following day with chocolates. Although the chocolates were an extra, it DOES NOT make up for no delivery on her birthday!!! She is alone in South Africa with no family and it was important for me to let her know I was thinking of her in her birthday. You failed miserably!!!

I cannot recommend Pattingtons highly enough. I was kept informed throughout my order. Unfortunately the flowers sent were wreaths but they treated our grief as if it was their own, even ensuring the flowers reached the Church late the evening before the Funeral to ensure that they were there on time. Your rating system does not go nearly high enough to measure happy I was with the florist, Pattington's of Sandton, Gauteng, S.A. You need 10 stars!! They went WAY ABOVE and BEYOND, and I don't mean just the incredible flower arrangement. Donna Leigh hand made the card for my loved one, customized to match the verbiage I wanted for the card. She added glittered lightning bolts and a mini red silk butterfly to off set the umbrella. Inside, the text was added over a faded lightning bolt (chosen based on my words.) I expected a simple, plain, generic card with my words written on it; I never expected this type of service! Outstanding! Donna has made a fan and customer for life. -C.B. Lawrence -USA , Texas

Living outside SA as I do now, I was unaware that today is a public holiday. Pattington's delivered a day early on the basis of what I wrote in my instructions to them, which was absolutely brilliant!!!! (The big brand name I have entrusted with flower deliveries in SA in the past, seemed incapable of exercising any discretion, and on occasions deliveries have been late to the point of being inappropriate.) I have heard from Rachel Ferriman and she says that the flowers were perfect - bright and varied, which was exactly what I wanted. Thank you very much indeed.
